Gunning

Yesterday I read this story on the BBC news website.

It angers me.

To sum up, a young girl in Nottingham was shot dead this time last year for NO reason whatsoever. She was just wandering home with mates and never did anything wrong. Sick.

Now, two people have been brought to trial for the killing. The defence made their case...

"One pulls a gun and, worse than that, fires it. It is criminal, it is dangerous but it is not murder"

I'm sorry, but if I were to pull a gun and fire it into a group of people, I'd say there's a pretty likely chance that's going to kill someone.

Killing with intent = MURDER.

The defence also stated:

"At worst, it is a case of manslaughter against him."

What less offence could he be tried for!? He's killed someone for f*ck's sake!

Lock the bastards up and throw away the key...

On an aside, I'm quite scared by the fact that I could be out walking anywhere, keeping myself to myself and get shot. I've never seen a real gun (other than in the hands of a policeman), and the idea that so-called normal people are carrying these lethal weapons round scares the hell out of me.

Oh well...

It is scary.

I'm from Nottingham and it does make you feel unsafe on the steets. Inter gang violence is one thing, but when totally unrelated people being getting shot at random things really become very scary.

Glad to hear they got put away for murder in the end.

They deserve everything that's coming to them.
