Donations requested

It's been a while!

But no rant today my friends. No... R has seen a news story that has made him all smiley!

Read me.

Most of the story doesn't incite any emotion in me. However, this does:

"Under the new law, doctors will now be able to insist on the organs being used where consent by the person had been given even in the face of objections from family members."

This is BRILLIANT news.

I read somewhere a while ago that a large proportion of potential organ donations are blocked by family's wishes, even when the deceased held a donor card, and had made their wishes quite clear. How disrespectful!?

I immediately got online and signed up for my donor card, and informed my family of my wishes should I die. After all, what use are my organs once I'm dead? Someone else may as well benefit from them!

Anyways, enough from a happy me, take care

R
