Those who can't...

Something I read today...

Now, no offense to any teachers out there, but you guys already get 65 days* holiday a year! What difference is one day really going to make? Also, it's a day at the end of a six-week long holiday...

And to strike!? Seems a little childish to me. Please have some sense, for the sake of the children...!

*I got this by doing 13 weeks multiplied by five days normally worked. Yes I know they have to prepare lesson plans/mark work etc, but not being at home makes it a lot more "flexible".


Also, my heart goes out to not only the girls killed in Pennsylvania yesterday, but their families, and also to the poor girls who had to witness the horrific deaths of their schoolmates, and friends. I truly am saddened.
